Company History
Miles Walsh founded Walsh’s Remodeling (formerly Walsh’s Home Repairs) in 2012 with one vision– to provide the Albemarle and Charlottesville community with an experienced home improvement contractor.
Miles believes in going above and beyond national building codes and construction regulations to produce high-quality, beautiful projects for his clients. The company started with mainly repair jobs.
Genevieve, a Real Estate agent at the time, helped the business by sending over clients who needed repairs when they sold or bought their home. Genevieve then worked for a private start-up audiology practice, where she developed a love for business. She decided to solidify her interest in business by investing in her education and attending Mary Baldwin University to obtain her Master of Business Administration degree.
From there, she joined Walsh’s Home Repairs as an Owner, with Miles Walsh as the Director of Operations. As time passed, Walsh’s Home Repairs grew and changed its name to Walsh’s Remodeling to reflect the growth of these services.
Changing the Standard
Miles and Genevieve Walsh, despite being a small company, have a clear understanding of the current culture and operations within the remodeling industry.
With a low barrier to entry and a lack of adherence to licensing and code requirements, the industry often delivers hasty and subpar work, which has become the standard customer experience. We are determined to change that.

I highly recommend Walsh's remodeling as I have to my friends and neighbors. I remodeled three and a half bathrooms which would have been a daunting task without their guidance. The team's work Is monitored by Genevieve and Miles, who also works with the team who are efficient, experienced, and dedicated.
Miles Walsh Renovations did an excellent job updating our kitchen. We replaced the backsplash, countertops, and the sink. Miles suggested under the cabinet lights. I am truly glad he did them. It's a great aid during food prep. The team came at the time they stated and were very good with cleanup after work. They were easy to talk with, really nice people. They had lots of patience answering our questions. I definitely highly recommend Mile Walsh Renovations.
I can't say enough good things about Miles and his team. From the first communication to the last, this was the easiest process I could have imagined. We did a total remodel of our main bathroom, and also put in recessed lighting in our family room and kitchen. The project took a total of 3 weeks, and every day Miles and his team showed up at 8am on the dot and left at 5pm, with everything completely cleaned up for the day (very helpful with young kids who could get into anything left out!). Miles was unbelievably communicative and responsive every step of the way, and always responded to any texts and emails right away. He made sure everything I wanted to order would work for the space, and ordered everything himself after I sent links over. When Miles discovered that we had some issues with dangerous electrical wiring that already existed in our home, Miles identified the problem and went above and beyond to fix it. I really could go on and on, but all I can say is I wish I could just keep Miles on retainer so he could fix or update every bit of our house! Too bad he books out so early, but he deserves all the business he gets. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I will absolutely be using Miles in the future for any home renovation projects.
Walsh’s Remodeling just completed the renovation of two bathrooms in our home. Working on the project with Miles Walsh, from the planning, design, selection of materials and the final estimate stages, right through to the construction and finished product was an absolute pleasure. Miles and his crew were professional, attentive to detail, responsive to our input and the changes we elected to make, and were always respectful of our property and personal schedules. Of particular importance to us was the fact that Miles and his crew performed every aspect of our project; painting, tile work, plumbing, electrical, etc., thereby no delays waiting for subcontractors were experienced. The project completion date estimate was met with precision and a comprehensive walk-thru at the completion of the project revealed a virtually flawless end result. Frankly, we were so happy with the way the project went and in the beautiful results, that we have asked Walsh’s Remodeling to come back in the fall to remodel yet another bathroom. Overall, a great job!
We are absolutely thrilled with the work that Miles and his crew did- our 3 remodeled bathrooms are stunning, and the highlights of our home! Every time we walk into our master bath, we keep exclaiming over how luxurious and gorgeous everything is! Not only is their work at a high level, but it was really pleasant to work with Miles and Genevieve through the process- they were both quick to respond to questions or concerns we had. Their crew is a great group of people as well- everyone was super friendly, happy to answer questions we had if Miles wasn't around, and very respectful of our privacy and space. We would recommend Walsh's Remodeling to everyone we know, and we plan to work with them again for future remodeling needs.
It doesn't get better than Walsh's Remodeling. Take it from someone familiar with home remodels (I've extensively remodeled all three of my last houses). Walsh's Remodeling was hands down the most punctual, detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and skilled remodeling company I have ever worked with. Their team was always polite and professional. They never questioned a request or shrugged off a concern. In this day of remote working, it's also nice to find a remodeling company that considers your zoom schedule. They would always let us know ahead of time if things were going to get loud so we could plan accordingly, and if we needed them to not be loud for an hour, they would accommodate without question. Their team is exceptionally skilled in electrical, plumbing, tiling, and installation. They're a one-stop shop! If they can't do it, they know an exceptionally skilled person that can. They take pride in their work, and it shows. I'll be using them again for sure.
